Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! launches Clean Slate Pilot Program in Macomb and St. Clair counties

M/SC MW! has retained professional legal assistance, for those eligible, to take part in the State of Michigan Clean Slate Expungement Program. Eligible residents of Macomb and St. Clair counties can use this free service (applicants may need to pay for fingerprinting), regardless of where the conviction occurred.

To determine eligibility and begin the application process, applicants must complete an initial application form found at https://www.macomb-stclairworks.org/cleanslate. Applicants are required to provide personally identifiable information (name, home address, phone number, valid email address, etc.) and must allow a qualified M/SC MW! staff member to confidentially retrieve a record of criminal history via the Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) to be considered.

Clean Slate applicants will be introduced to all the services and resources of Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! including job fairs, resume writing, job search assistance, and if eligible, training funds may be available to assist in providing a better and brighter future.
