Moving Towards Success

Clinton Township Career Center

Relocating from Lansing to Chesterfield, Yunique Whitworth started the PATH (Partnership, Accountability, Training, and Hope) program in April of 2017. Her priority was to find stable child care for her children and to get them enrolled in their new schools.

With several years of experience in the retail field, Yunique needed assistance reintroducing herself to the job search market. She worked exceptionally hard to find employment and participated in many of the workshops offered at Michigan Works! including Financial Education.

Yunique expressed her gratitude to her case manager after attending the résumé writing and development workshops. In the competitive edge and social media workshops, she learned to be a frontrunner as a job seeker.

Meeting with the Business Account Manager to enhance her résumé, cover letter and interview performance, she was also provided job referrals. Fueled by a new résumé and confidence, she attended several interviews.

Yunique accepted a job offer from Parkway Chrysler Jeep. She has been employed as a Greeter since July of this year. Yunique is excited to start this next chapter of her life working with a company that is growing and offers potential.
