Computer Course Upgrades Worker’s Skills

Clinton Township Career Center

A dislocated worker, Karen Quin took advantage of multiple reemployment “Circuit” workshops offered at no cost to her at the Clinton Township Career Center. Through the workshops, Karen was able to update her résumé, learn tips on job searching, networking and interviews. Accessing all the tools available to her, Karen found seeking employment to be a job in itself.

Karen’s previous experience included multiple years in an automobile dealership working as a shipping/receiving clerk, cashier and receptionist. With tuition assistance through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Karen updated her skills with a basic computer course at Macomb Community College/Continuing Education.
